Billie Jean Taylor, 90, of Cookville, passed away on February 8, 2018 in Daingerfield, TX. She was born on October 26, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to Joseph M. & Henrietta (Bush) Jordan.
Billie Jean was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cookville and in her spare time she loved to crochet.
She was survived by her loving husband, John H. Taylor of Cookville; son, Ronald G. Taylor of Rowlett, TX; daughter, Renda Shreve of Cookville, TX; daughter, Cassandra Hubband of Trussville, AL; daughter, Sharon Simms of Rowlett, TX; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Martha Leach; granddaughter, Theresa Kay Shreve; sister, Ada Moore; brothers, Fred & Joseph J. Jordan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February, 13, 2018 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel. Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery.
