Chapel Hill FBLA students going to nationals

These awesome CHHS students competed and attended leadership workshops at the Texas FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) State Leadership Conference this weekend in Houston.
Congratulations to the following students for advancing to Nationals:

Makenzi Edwards, State Champion in Job Interview
Jacey McElveen, State Champion in Database Design
Ben Swiger, 2nd in Computer Applications
Rebecca Crane, 2nd in Spreadsheet Applications
Ian Lail, 2nd in Agribusiness
Esmeralda Gonzalez, 4th in Intro to Parliamentary Procedure
Nathan Scolaro advanced to Finals in Impromptu Speaking, and the team of Fatima Fuentes and Janeth Garcia advanced to Finals in Business Ethics.
Nationals will be held in San Antonio this year, June 27- July 2. Makenzi, Ben and Esmeralda will all be competing at the National level for the second time, each in different events from 2018.
Some of our competitors did not attend the conference due to other school event conflicts, but competed online earlier this month. All who competed are winners, having placed in the top five in their respective events at the Area VI Leadership Conference in January. These students represented Chapel Hill well and we are extremely proud of each of them!
