Starting on November 1st Police Department employees will be allowed to take part in "No Shave November" to raise money for the First Responders Respond Foundation – Empty Stockings drive.
It's customary that officers are only allowed to have a mustache. For the month of November all of that changes.
With a donation of $50 dollars to the foundation Empty Stockings program, officers of the Mount Pleasant Police Department will be allowed to grow a beard. Female officers will be allowed to wear colorful nail polish to support the program.
Each year first responders in Mount Pleasant and Titus County have a one-day fund raiser downtown. Money raised from community members provides Christmas gifts to under-privileged children in our city and county.

"There's nothing really like identifying a child in need and taking them Christmas shopping," says Police Chief Wayne Isbell. “This internal department fund raising drive will enhance our ability to support children in our community during Christmas.”
On December 1st officers who participate will return to departmental grooming standards. Please support our officers new look as we raise money internally to support our great community.
