On June 7th, 2018 the Titus County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) conducted a compliance check of 36 Registered Sex Offenders living in Titus County outside the city limits of Mount Pleasant. While conducting the compliance check it was discovered that all of the 36 Sex Offenders were in compliance.
The Titus County Sheriff’s Office goes beyond what is required by the State of Texas by conducting random compliance checks of registered Sex Offenders living in the county. The compliance checks are conducted to make sure the Sex Offenders are following the rules of their Sex Offender registration set forth by the State of Texas.
The Titus County Sheriff’s Office conducts these random checks at different dates and times of the year so the Sex Offenders never know when they will be checked on. The Titus County Sheriff’s Office wants to ensure the safety of Titus County residents by conducting these compliance checks.
Titus County residents can go online to the State of Texas website to view registered Sex Offenders in your area or other areas of the State of Texas.
