Marquita Betts, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on February 23, 2018 in Mt. Pleasant. She was born on September 22, 1939 in Titus County to Charlie andBernice (Grigsby) Whittle.
She was a member of the Nevills Chapel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Annette Betts; grandchildren, Dakota Betts, Trevor Betts, Nikki Betts, Krista Betts and fiancé, Brent Van’t Land; great grandchildren, Jagger Betts, Kolter Betts and Cali Fowler; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Pearl Whittle; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Delane Whittle; brother, Randy Whittle; sister, Janice Young; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Betts; son, Steve Betts; brother, Larry Whittle; parents; brother-in-law, James Young.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Focused Care Nursing Home of Mt. Pleasant for their special care of Mrs. Betts.
Donations may be made to the Cypress Basin Hospice of Mt. Pleasant.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, February, 25, 2018 at the Bates Cooper Sloan Chapel with services to follow at 3 p.m.. Interment will take place in the Nevills Chapel Cemetery.
