Michael Kopech posted another strong outing last night against the Gwinnett Braves. To lead off the game, a ten pitch battle with Ronald Acuna, their top-rated prospect, ended when Michael blew a 99 mph fastball by him. Michael's final line: 5IP; 2H; 1R; 3BB; 6K. 103 pitches/63 strikes.
The lone run occurred when a throwing error allowed the runner, who had been advancing to third, to score. That run tied the game, which resulted in a no-decision for Michael.
Charlotte Knights went on to win, 3-1.
