On Thursday the Mount Pleasant Fire Department was dispatched to a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 271 and Old Paris Road. When they arrived they found one vehicle still in the roadway and the other off in a ditch.
After extracting a patient from one of the vehicles that patient was transported via ambulance with what appeared to be moderate injuries.
