Halloween: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over
Halloween is meant to be scary, but not when it comes to driving. When it comes to drunk driving, Halloween can turn the roads into a horror fest.
Halloween is a particularly deadly night due to drunk drivers. In 2015, over half (52%) of all highway fatalities across the nation on Halloween night (6 p.m. Oct. 31 to 5:59 a.m. Nov. 1) involved a driver or a motorcycle rider with a BAC of .08 or higher.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department will have extra officers working on Halloween to make this year's event as safe as we can.
