Down Memory Lane - July 14, 2016


A note written on the back of this photo pulled at random from our 1980s archives says "Special Birthday Party". It looks like it might have been taken at a senior citizens center or someplace similar. Anyone recognize these folks?

    I recognize several. The lady in the middle with glasses standing behind the lady sitting is my mother, Faye Sloan from Mt. Vernon. Several of the ladies attended Lake Chapel Church near Hagansport--Wendel Sloan (wendel.sloan@yahoo.com)

      Same here. I recognize mother (Fay Sloan) and one other face, the lady on the far left, but no names.

    All of these ladies are from Lake Chapel. Sister Cox, Sister Dixie Harper, Sister Berniece Steed,Sister Dorothy Haley, Sister Doris Cannon, Sister Faye Sloan, Sister Veta Coston, Sister Scoggins, Sister Mozelle Aikins, Sister Elsie Lou France, and Sister Betty Harper.
