Early morning burglary suspect arrested

Early Saturday morning May 7, at 5:24 a.m. a homeowner woke up to the sounds of someone in the house in the 100 block of Sweet Pea Ct.

The victim confronted a suspect in the house without incident and the suspect fled on foot. The witness knew the suspect from the neighborhood and reported where he lived. Officers went to the suspects residence on Samuel Ln and were able to get the suspect into custody.

Evidence left at the scene of the burglary, witness and suspect statements resulted in 19 year old Gregory Garrett Craig of Mount Pleasant being arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.

Craig was booked into the Titus County Jail. Bail has not been set.
