TCSO nabs dangerous fugitive, hauls in drugs



During the early morning hours of Saturday April 2nd, Titus County Sheriff’s Deputy Ed Godoy conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 30 for an equipment violation which led to the arrest of two males for offenses including, possession of marijuana, aggravated robbery, and failing to identify, by giving a fictitious name.

Upon approaching the vehicle, Deputy Godoy observed the distinct smell of marijuana and conducted an investigation following up on those observations.

Godoy soon learned the 23-year old driver, Dominique Lambert was wanted for three felony Aggravated Robbery warrants, for which Lambert was arrested.

A 28-year old passenger of the vehicle, after first providing a fictitious name, was later identified as Michael Gardner.

As part of his investigation into the circumstances of the traffic stop, Deputy Godoy discovered there to be in excess of two pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.

Dominique Rashad Lambert was arrested for Possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces, and under 5 lbs, a State Jail Felony. Lambert was also arrested on three warrants for Aggravated Robbery.

Michael Gardner was arrested for Possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces, and under 5 lbs, a State Jail Felony, and Failing to Identify, a Misdemeanor.

"The Titus Sheriff’s Office continues to thwart the proliferation of illegal narcotics in or traveling through Titus County," said Sheriff Tim Ingram.
