On April 7, 2015 Mount Pleasant Police Department Detectives arrested 41-year old Timothy Paul Rovell of Titus County for Possession of Child Pornography, Indecency with a Child, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
After Rovell’s arrest 26-year old Megan Williams of Mount Pleasant was arrested on April 24, 2015 for two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Sexual Assault of a Child, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Both subjects had since been incarcerated at the Titus County Jail.
Both pled guilty Friday to their related charges and were sentenced to 10 years in prison for each charge to be served consecutively. Due to the age of one of the children; Williams must serve at least half of her sentence, 20 years, before being considered for parole. Upon release, both will be required to register as sex offenders for life.
