Meet the newest member of the Mount Pleasant Police Department. Police Chief Wayne Isbell swore in Officer James Burks Friday.
Officer Burks is a native to this area and is a graduate of the Northeast Texas Regional Police Academy. He will be assigned to the Patrol Division after completing field training.
