Robbery Suspect Arrested

Demond Craddock Jr., AKA: Boogie
An attempted robbery of a person occurred early Wednesday morning in the 800 Block of East 4th St.

Suspect Demond Craddock Jr., AKA: Boogie, is accused of attacking a person with a large stick while demanding money from him.

The victim suffered serious injuries from the attack and was treated at Titus Regional Medical Center.

The victim was able to escape the attack and flee when Craddock’s vehicle was accidentally hit by another person driving by the location.

"The victim in the attack was very fortunate that Craddock was distracted," said Police Chief Wayne Isbell. "Unfortunately, we are still working through a second issue involving Craddock and the person who struck his car. That investigation is still being worked by detectives."

Craddock was located Friday evening in the 800 Block of N. Johnson and was taken into custody without incident when a patrol officer spotted him. Three other individuals were also arrested at the scene on N. Johnson for other offenses unrelated to the robbery.

Craddock was booked into the Titus County Jail. Bail for the Robbery has been set at $50,000.
