Mount Pleasant High School held its annual Football Awards Banquet Thursday, Feb. 11 at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center. Members of the Freshmen, JV and Varsity teams were recognized for their participation during the 2015 season.

Freshman and Junior Varsity Player of the Year Awards were presented to Josh Miller (Freshman) and Juan Otino (JV).

Varsity Superlative Awards were presented to:
Ethan Duck – Defensive Lineman of the year
Thomas Spann – Offensive Lineman of the Year
Jevonny Lira – Defensive Back of the Year
Jace Beasley – Offensive Back of the Year
Zak Dean – Linebacker of the Year
Kevin Perez – Receiver of the Year
Sammy Puente – Special Teams Player of the Year
Andrew Turner – Most Improved Player
Alejandro Rios – Built Tiger Tough Player of the Year
Travion Holloman – Most Valuable Player of the Year

JV Head Coach Matt Smith also honored Tara West for her work filming JV team practices.

Hear Coach Corey Homer also honored team manager Jakerry Fulmer.
