Mount Pleasant High School Prom Rules and Dress Code
School rules apply to school social events to which a student brings a guest. No guest over the age of 20 will be allowed. Students who wish to bring a guest who is not a student enrolled at Mt. Pleasant High School must fill out a guest approval form. These may be picked up in the assistant principals office.
Only prom participants will be allowed in any prom activities. Guest are expected to observe the same rules as students attending the events, and the person inviting the guest will share the responsibility for the conduct of the guest.
Students leaving the event early will not be readmitted.
Please review the dress code guidelines carefully. Prom is a school sponsored activity. Any person in attendance MUST be in compliance with the dress code. No refunds will be given because a student is not allowed to participate for a dress code related issue.
Dress Code:
Females:
Strapless dresses, dresses with spaghetti straps or halter top dresses that meet the guidelines below are acceptable to wear to Prom.
Dresses should be modestly cut with no plunging necklines.
No two-pieces or bra-top dresses are allowed.
All dresses must cover the mid-riff region and be modest in sheer with no sheer fabric.
No undergarments may be visible.
No dresses higher than fingerprints length and no slits in dresses higher than fingertip length.
Males:
Formal attire is expected
Dress suit and tie, jacket and tie or tuxedo, nice jeans are allowed
