More candidates are lining up to run in this spring's Mount Pleasant City Council election.
As of the end of the day Monday, the ballot is shaping up as follows:

Jack Anderson
Michael D McGahee
Place 4
Tim Dale
Kellye Cooper
Steve Corbell
Place 5
Sue Hawkins
Brian A Heavner
The incumbent in Place 3 is David Huffman. Tim Dale is the incumbent in Place 4, and Sue Hawkins is the incumbent in Place 5.
On the school board, Buddy Blue and Ezeal McGill remain unopposed for re-election.
The deadline for sign-ups for local elections is Friday at 5 p.m.
