With the deadline a week and half away (Feb. 19) for people to sign up for local city elections, there are already seven candidates signed up for the three Mount Pleasant city council seats up for election, as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Both Tim Dale and Sue Hawkins are the incumbents; David Huffman is the incumbent in Place 3 but has not signed up.
