Sex offender arrested

The Mount Pleasant Police Criminal Investigations Unit Tuesday arrested 44 year old Robert Kimball of Mount Pleasant for Possession of Child Pornography, a 3rd degree felony and for Sex Offenders Duty to Register, also a 3rd degree felon.

After a two month investigation detectives tracked electronic communications sent to Kimball in which he received child pornography.

A search of Kimball’s residence also uncovered multiple items used to view and store child pornography. Additional evidence was located linking Kimball to other offenses in another jurisdiction.

Kimball was taken to the Titus County Jail where he will be arraigned by a magistrate.
