Armed robbery suspect arrested

On Tuesday Evening, January 26th, Titus County Sheriff's deputies arrested 22-year old Heath Allen Pain, pursuant to an indictment for the First Degree Felony offense of Aggravated Robbery.

The felony indictment was handed down by a Titus County Grand Jury on January 21st  and stems from allegations that Pain robbed a convenience store in Mount Pleasant on November 30th of last year.

Forty-year year old Veronica Edens was arrested along with Pain for the 3rd Degree Felony offense of Hindering Apprehension.

A joint effort was underway by the Titus County Sheriff's Office and the Mount Pleasant Police Department to determine Pain's location when two deputies acting on accumulative information as well as intuition, observed a gold Toyota Avalon approaching the Huntington Apartments, located on the 1200 block of West 15th Street, in Mount Pleasant.

Upon initiating a traffic stop on the vehicle, both Pain and Edens were arrested without incident and will await arraignment in the Titus County Jail.
