Child Abuse Awareness Month

During Child Abuse Awareness Month, CASA Executive Director Michelle Cobern met with Titus County Commissioners to update them on the numbers of abuse and neglect cases CASA served in Titus County.

Judge Brian Lee and Commissioners received a blue ribbon for Child Abuse Awareness Month and were asked to wear the blue ribbon for the entire month of April.

Titus County Commissioners were very gracious in allowing Cobern to present information about new additions to the program like Enya, Texas CASA's very first Courthouse Facility Dog.

Cobern also discussed the need for the CWOP (Children With Out Placement) room which allows the Department a place to bring children on a temporary basis until a permanent solution can be found.
