New year sees new newspaper

The New Clarksville Times Publishing LLC partnership, based in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas, announces it has started publication of a newspaper for Titus County, The Mount Pleasant Mirror.

The Mount Pleasant Mirror’s first issue was published Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020. It is distributed free and will print twice a month, on the first and second Thursday.

The managing editor is Lou Antonelli, who was the managing editor of the Mount Pleasant Daily Tribune from 2007 to 2015. He and wife Patricia are currently owners of The Clarksville Times, a weekly paper founded in 1873.

“We've had such success with the Clarksvtille Times that an expansion seemed logical, and Titus County is the natural place to do it,” Antonelli said.

Print copies of the paper will distributed free in Mount Pleasant. Anyone wanting a e-subscription via a PDF file can email: theclarksvilletimes@gmail.com

“This is just the start,” said Antonelli. “We plan to open a local office as soon as feasible. In the meantime, feel free to email new items and notices to the above email address.”

The next issue of the Mirror will be published January 15.
