Commissioners to consider making Titus County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary


Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Commissioners’ Court of Titus County, Texas, will be held on the 9th day of December 2019 at 9:00 o’clock a.m., in the Titus County Courthouse, County Courtroom, 100 West First Street, Room 205, Mt. Pleasant, Texas 75455, at which time the following subjects will be discussed not necessarily in the order presented:

2. Consider and Possibly Approve Minutes From November 25th, 2019Special Meeting of the Commissioners’ Court

3. Report From Commissioners Regarding Road Work Status

4. Consider and Possibly Approve a settlement form Stephens Dirt Contracting in the amount of $25,000 for damages to CR 2670 to be used to purchase material from Richard Drake Construction

5. Consider and Possibly Approve a records management policy and designate retention officers (Tabled 11-25-19)

6. Consider and Possibly Approve Resolution to declare Titus County a Second Amendment Sanctuary

7. Consider and Possibly Approve purchase of new vehicle for Pct. 1

8. Consider and Possibly Approve purchase of a new Rotella SPO16 truck lift in the amount of $15,541.12 plus an additional estimated amount of $370 for electrical parts from Wholesale Electric Supply for County Maintenance Barn

9. Approve Oral and Written Reports of County Officials

10. Consider and Possibly Approve Treasurer’s Report

12. Sign Pay Orders and Approve Payments

ADJOURN

Second Amendment sanctuary refers to resolutions adopted by some jurisdictions in the United States to not expend resources to enforce certain gun control measures perceived as violations of the Second Amendment. The resolutions oppose enforcement of universal gun background checks, high capacity magazine bans, assault weapon bans, red flag laws, and more.
