We love our Tigers!
Many times our kids do the right thing when no one is looking. MPISD Superintendent, Judd Marshall, shared two stories with the MPISD administrative team at their monthly meeting on Tuesday.
First, a parent of an employee called to tell him that she and her husband went to Whataburger on the Friday night of the last home football game. The restaurant was packed with MPHS students getting a late night meal after the game. Once she and her husband ordered, they realized there was nowhere to sit. A few football players at a table nearby saw the woman and her husband, who was in a wheelchair, looking for a place to sit. They instantly grabbed their meals, cleared the table, and insisted the woman and her husband take their table. She said they watched as the football players stood to finish what they were eating.
Second, a community member called to tell him what she had experienced in Wal-Mart. She was in an aisle and dropped some items. Two girls, one wearing an MPHS letter jacket and the other wearing an MPHS t-shirt, immediately began helping her gather the items and clean up the mess. She did not know them and did not know their names, but wanted to call and commend them for being so kind and helpful.
In this time of Thanksgiving, MPISD is thankful for our kids and for their hearts for others.
