Council to consider City Manager contract Tuesday



Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the City Council of the City of Mount Pleasant, Texas, will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall located at 501 North Madison

Regular Agenda

1. Consider Approval of Minutes of the November 19, 2019 Regular Session.

2. Consider a request from Symmetry Turf for payment #15 on the Sports Complex.

3. Consider Approval of Ordinance No. 2019-13 Regulating the Speed of Motor Vehicles Upon a Certain Section of BU 271 Within the Corporate Limits of the City; Authorizing the Texas Department of Transportation to Erect Signs; Prescribing Penalties; Repealing all Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for a Severability Clause; Providing an Effective Date; and Providing for Publication.

4. Consider Approval of Ordinance No. 2019-14 Regulating the Speed of Motor Vehicles upon a Certain Section of BU 271 and US 271 Frontage Roads within the Corporate Limits of the City; Authorizing the Texas Department of Transportation to Erect Signs; Prescribing Penalties; Repealing all Ordinances in Conflict Herewith; Providing for a Severability Clause; Providing an Effective Date; and Providing for Publication.

5. Consider Approval of Water and Sewer 5-Year Capital Improvement Projects (CIP)
from KSA.

6. Consider Approval of Resolution No. 2019-1S By the City Of Mount Pleasant, Texas ("City") Suspending the Effective Date for Ninety Days In Connection with the Statement of Intent to Increase Rates Filed by Centerpoint Energy Resources Corporation, D/B/A, Centerpoint Energy Entex and Centerpoint Energy Texas Gas, for its Beaumont/East Texas Division, on or about November 14, 2019; Directing Centerpoint to Reimburse the City's Rate-Case Expenses; Finding that the Meeting Complies With the Open Meetings Act; Making Other Findings and Provisions Related to the Subject; and Declaring an Effective Date.

7. Consider Approval of Resolution No. 2019-19 Regarding the City's Holidays.
