Good weekend for Chapel Hill Swim Team


The Chapel Hill Swim Team had a good day in the pool over the long weekend. They competed at the Nacogdoches Dragon Invitational against 14 teams from schools ranging in size from 1A to 6A.
The girls' team (all in their first season of Varsity Swimming) finished in 10th place. Trinity Campbell, Peyton Easley, Emily Majors and Emma Snodgrass earned their points as a team by placing 12th in the 200 yard medley relay and 13th in the 200 yard freestyle relay.
The boys' team finished in 8th place. Highlighting the day for the boys were Jared McNutt's personal best times in both the 100 yard butterfly and the 100 yard backstroke (9th and 11th place respectively). Other point earners for the boys were: Logan Cicman (4th place - 200 yard freestyle and 5th place - 500 yard freestyle); Luke Nichols (16th place - 100 yard butterfly); and the relay team of Jared McNutt, Ethan Thrapp, Logan Cicman and Luke Nichols (10th place - 400 yard freestyle relay and 12th place - 200 yard medley relay).
The Chapel Hill Red Devil Swimmers compete again this Saturday at the 3rd Annual Fall Fest Swimming Invitational in Tyler.
