The Chapel Hill Cross Country team tore it up at the Hallsville Invitational today!
The Varsity girls ran very well. Cecilia Perez placed 15th with a time of 15:14, Haylie Torres 21st 15:46, Ramsie Applegate 39th 16:34, and Zai Otero 52nd 17:51.
The Varsity boys ran extremely well earning second place as a team only to get edged out by Atlanta by ONE point! Russell Hedges placed 2nd 18:27, Lucas Thomas 3rd 18:45, CJ Kump 5th 18:56, Marcos Netro 15th 20:28, and Braxton Sanders 36th 22:46. JV boys ran well today with Cameron Thomas placing 23rd with time of 20:49, Tristan Davis 39th 22:24, and Alex Barboza 74th 24:24.
Coach Bynum said, “I love these kids. Each and everyone of them are dedicated to the sport and work hard every single day. We feel confident about the district meet, but we are still taking it one meet at a time.”
The next meet will be Thursday at North Lamar.
