Please join Cypress Basin Hospice in extending best wishes to Pennye Gaddis Sheridan, LVN, who is retiring from nursing today, Friday, September 27th.
Pennye has been an esteemed member of our team for a total of 17 years combined, and she will be greatly missed by her peers. Nurses all over Northeast Texas have looked up to and have learned from Pennye throughout her many years of nursing and many families across multiple communities have experienced her compassion and grace in their time of need. She will be sorely missed and impossible to replace.
Ashley Jordan, RN, Executive Director of Cypress Basin Hospice states; “I came to work with Cypress Basin Hospice in 2009 as a LVN field nurse; that is when I first met Pennye. As my nurse orientation mentor, Pennye and I shared many hours together as she taught me compassionate care through hospice service. She was also one of the nurses who pulled me aside and encouraged me to further my education and pushed me to become a Registered Nurse. When I returned to Cypress Basin Hospice in 2016 as Clinical Director, I was thrilled to know that she was still a part of our team. Pennye has continually encouraged me over the years and has been an integral part of the quality care that Cypress Basin Hospice delivers every day.”
