Some “sweet” news!


Congratulations to Chapel Hill's Nellie Downie!
Nellie placed 1st with her Sweet Potato Cucakes at the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Regional Competition for cupcake battle!
Nellie also received a $3000 Scholarship towards the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts!
This is the 3rd year in a row that Chapel Hill High School Culinary Arts has advanced to State!
Madelyn Pugsley and Noah Bernard also competed in the competition and earned $500 Scholarships to the Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.

  1. I am so proud of her. She has been my student since her Freshman year and is always gracious, respectful and professional. She has represented Culinary Arts in exceptional fashion in every event! We are so proud of you Nellie!
