AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed Angela Saucier to the 76th Judicial District Court for a term set to expire on December 31, 2020, or until her successor shall be duly elected and qualified.
Angela Saucier of Pittsburg is the County Attorney for Camp County, serving ten years. Additionally, she serves part-time as an assistant district attorney for Wood County, and has a private law practice.
Saucier replaces Danny Woodson, who passed away last October, She joins Robert Rolston of Mount Pleasant of the 276th District Court in serving Titus County.
She is a member of the State Bar of Texas (SBOT), Texas Bar College, Camp County Bar Association, Texas Council on Family Violence, and the SBOT Child Protection and Family Law Section and a member and former president of the Wood County Bar Association.
Additionally, she is a board member of the Habitat for Humanity of Camp County, a former volunteer for the Pittsburg Independent School District Improvement Plan and the City of Pittsburg Home Rule Charter Commission, and a former member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church Women’s Ministry Leadership Team.
Saucier received an Associate of Applied Science in banking from Northeast Texas Community College, a Bachelor of Science in business management from Le Tourneau University and a Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
This appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.
