Don't forget to vote, and vote "Against" repeal of the Unit Road System

This little piggy is banking on you not voting in this election so he can get his snout in the public tax trough.
One of the stupider reasons floating in Titus County currently for the repeal of the Unit Road System is that, since commissioners are drawing full-time pay for a part-time job now, we all might as well give them back their employees and equipment and see if they will do a full-time job again.

That’s essentially blackmail. What really needs to be done with elected officials like that is a recall election.

Texans are generally good-natured and friendly, but after a while people get tired of their generosity being taken advantage of. Old Boys who want a government paycheck and a government-funded sandbox to play in, just because they think they can get away with it are straining the patience of the public to the breaking point.

First and foremost, voters must make a firm statement with a strong vote “Against” Proposition A and the repeal of the Unit Road System. Second they must reject the commissioner candidates who are behind this pathetic attempt to go back to the Bad Old Days of nepotism and wasted tax dollars.

A vote for Raymond Johnson in Precinct 2 and a write-in vote for Wesley McCollum for Precinct 4 will do just that. Titus County taxpayers are sick of Old Boys who think the tax coffers are their own private piggy bank. EVERYONE pays taxes, who are there people who think only they should benefit?

Get out there and vote. The people who have a vested interest in repeal – who are looking forward to getting jobs, contracts and sales – have already voted. Remember the famous dictum, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”
