Baker added, "We should be able to assist with many different types of iSSUPS and includes filing a disability claim with the VA".

Commander Hourahan stated "The American Legion is made up of honorably discharged veterans of seven wartime periods - World War II, Korea War, Vietnam War, Lebanon/Grenada, Panama, and the Persian Gulf (Since the US Congress has not established an ending date of hostilities, all military personnel who have served on active duty for any period since August 2, 1990 are eligible).

The American Legion has consistently been the largest and most influential veterans' organization in this country, since its founding in 1919, and today has nearly 2,000,000 men and women supporting its membership ranks.
