The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that Naca Valley Vineyard from Nacadoches will be a featured winery at the Uncorked Food & Wine Festival this year. We are so excited to have them join us so we can enjoy their Texas wines!
"Naca Valley Vineyard, a family business located about nine miles from downtown Nacogdoches, Texas, and six miles from the loop, is the realization of a longtime dream of Buzz and Wanda Mouton with their son Scott and wife Chelsea.
The vineyard was developed in February of 2013 when the family planted 600 grapevines. Half of the planting included Blanc du Bois white grape grapevines and half was Black Spanish (Lenoir) red grape grapevines.
Buzz, the vintner, has made wine as an amateur since he was a teenager and has won many awards, including top wins from the statewide Texas Wine and Grape Growers Association (TWGGA) competition and the former wine contests at the Texas Blueberry Festival in Nacogdoches."
