Mount Pleasant High School (MPHS) Junior Audrey Courreges and Mount Pleasant Junior High School 8th grader Connelly Cowan received awards from Woodmen Life for being the top American History students on their respective campuses. Perpetual plaques were given to each school and new tabs will be added each year honoring the top American History student at each campus.
Local Woodmen Life representative Christi Rhodes presented the awards. The national organization presents awards to the top American History students in communities across the United States.
Audrey, who will be a Senior at MPHS in the fall, is the daughter of Stephen and Catherine Courreges. Connelly, an incoming Freshman at MPHS, is the daughter of Collin and Kelly Cowan.
