City ending service location
The City of Mount Pleasant will no longer accept aluminum and tin at its recycle center, they encourage you to take them to the local scrap metal yards in town, they will pay you for them.
The City has discontinued collecting used motor oil at the location also. CITY NON COMMERCIAL residents who wish to dispose of used oil may take to the City Service Center at 1412 N. Washington.
The City will be moving the Cardboard Compactor in the next few weeks also to the City Service Center at 1412 N. Washington. Those wishing to use the Recycle Center cardboard compactor will be able to do so at the new location between the hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. CITY NON COMMERCIAL Recyclers will need to bring their proof of City Residency. Examples of Acceptable proof is a TX Drivers License with a City address or City of Mount Pleasant Water bill.
