Adult Education Student of the Month

Congratulations Christina Netro! Christina is the NTCC Adult Education February 2018 "Student of the Month" winner for perfect attendance.

Christina attended GED classes at the Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg taught by Ms. Margaret Curlin. Christina passed all sections of her GED test in March and plans to participate in GED graduation in May. In recognition of her hard work and dedication to the program, Christina received a $25 Walmart gift card, along with a Certificate of Recognition.

Following is what Christina had to say about the program:

"I would like to thank Mrs. Curlin for the inspiring words she said the first day of class. She said "Now this is the EASY part. The HARD part was to sign up and get here the first day. Now the rest is easy. It's just all up to you to come to class." Those words helped me a lot. I was already nervous about going to class after 12 years of not being in school. Now after getting my GED, I can create a better life for my children and further my education."
