Rotary clubs around the world are taking action to make a difference to protect our planet

The Rotary Club of Mt Pleasant has donated funds to the City of Mt Pleasant #MtPleasantTexas to replace trees lost in the winter freeze. 

This action goes along with one of the Rotary International goals this year to plant one tree for every Rotary member (1.2 million). As noted by RI President Ian Riseley, "environmental issues are deeply entwined in every one of our (RI) areas of focus". The abuse of environment is affecting health around the world, with 80 percent of urban areas with unsafe air, the oceans by 2050 will have more plastic than fish, and the rising global temperature (caused by human activity) already disruptive to human and economic life.#globalwarming
