Be a smart, informed consumer!

If you are approached by an unknown roofing company that asks you to sign any paperwork up front, you are likely encountering a scam. Do not sign anything that is said to be a "waiver" for an inspection to occur. The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce has received reports that companies are asking for signatures on these so-called forms and later telling homeowners that they signed a contract for services.
Also, be aware of insurance policies regarding deductibles. This articlebelow  has some very helpful information.
The police department has also shared important information regarding those who are soliciting door-to-door being required to have a permit. If someone knocks on your door and cannot produce one, it would be advisable to ask them to leave.
For a list of Chamber member roofing companies, please call them or visit their website: 903-572-8567 or www.mtpleasanttx.com
