Warrant results in arrest

On Tuesday, Feb. 20th, Titus County Deputies executed a search warrant on the 2700 block of FM 2348 at the residence of Trevor Scoute Betts.

The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into an alleged Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon which had previously been reported.

Deputies intercepted 25 year old Betts as he entered onto the property. When Betts learned that the deputies were intending to conduct the search warrant, he resisted cooperation with his detention and subsequent search of the residence.

A firearm was discovered and seized at the residence along with suspected methamphetamine and other substances classified as a Dangerous Drug. Betts was subsequently booked into the Titus County Jail awaiting arraignment for the following offenses:

Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 Less than 1 Gram, a State Jail Felony
Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport, a Class A Misdemeanor
Possession of a Dangerous Drug, a Class A Misdemeanor
