The new look is part of police department rebranding after soliciting input from department staff and some community members.
The new graphics are not as expensive as the old design and are easier to install. The graphics bring a fresh look, new color scheme and incorporate the city “MP” brand.
New vehicles will start patrolling the streets today. It will take several years to replace the entire fleet with the new graphic design.
