STD rates in US are at an all time high.This article discussing the rates of sexually transmitted diseases in the US in 2016. Chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis alone accounted for over 2 million cases. That number does not include herpes simplex, HIV or the very prevalent HPV. Even more discouraging than these alarming numbers is the fact that the rates seem to be increasing radically. Adolescent and young adult women saw a 20% increase in chlamydia alone during 2016.
