James C. Young of Sugar Hill passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Mount Pleasant. He was born July 6, 1928 in Oklahoma.
James was a Fire Fighter for the City of Dallas for 24 years, where he served as Captain. He was a co-founder and member of the Sugar Hill Volunteer Fire Department. James honorably served in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Jerry Clark of Sugar Hill, grandchildren, Charlie Young, Melissa Noriega, Cody McGeehee, Jerry Lee Clark, Jr, and David Anthony Young, Jr.; great grandchildren, Hailey Freese, David Anthony Young, III, Jordan Clark, Chelby, Autumn, Elizabeth and Malany Young; niece, Peggy Pierce; nephew, John Agan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Tommie Randle Young; daughter, Charlotte Pierson; son, Randall Young; and his sister, Dorothy Agan.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Talco Cemetery.
