After 54 years of loyal service, Joella Thornton will be retiring from Pilgrim’s Mt. Pleasant East Plant. Joella started out her career with Pilgrim’s on April 17, 1963 when she was just 27 years old.
During her tenure, Joella saw the company go through many changes ultimately become the wonderful place of Pilgrim’s today! With half a century of experience, Joella expertise in our facility will definitely be missed. In addition to her years of service, Joella also had perfect attendance for just short of 35 years! Her dedication, work ethic, loyalty and perseverance all exemplify the Pilgrim’s values and she has been a great role model for her peers.
Joella has 6 children, 38 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. She plans to spend her retirement raising and spending time with every single last one of them!
