A message from Commissioner Al Riddle

0/30/2017 Commissioner’s Court Meeting Information:

I requested that we have the Commissioner’s Court meetings at 6:00 PM

My fellow members of Commissioners Court voted to have all of the meetings at 9:00 AM on the second and fourth Monday of each month.

The only opportunity working citizens, interested or affected by the Court’s actions and who work normal business hours, may have to learn what the Court is doing, may be what is written in the local newspaper! And that information might not be accurate. In the past there were newspaper articles written by reporters from the Daily Tribune who were not at the meetings (These articles were published BEFORE the meetings were posted on the County internet site!)! I was always puzzled how the reporter obtained the information, but the ”SPIN” on the meetings gave an indication as to who gave the report to the newspaper. I hope that the new owners of our newspaper plan to introduce more accurate reporting on the Court’s proceedings.

My goal is to report on this page some of the actions/activities taken at the Court meetings that have a DIRECT EFFECT on the way your tax dollars are spent.
