2017-18 MPHS All School Boy and Girl

Seniors Nathon Segovia and Abby Sneed have been selected All School Boy and Girl by the staff and faculty of Mount Pleasant High School for best representing the ideals established for the high school.

Abby is the daughter of Angela Sneed and the late Kevin Sneed. She is the Treasurer of the National Honor Society, a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, the Academic UIL Journalism team and the Goin’ Gold Band. She is a Squad Leader for the Color Guard and the Chaplain of the MPHS Choir. She was the 2016 MPISD Hugh O’Brien Youth Ambassador (HOBY) sponsored by the Rotary Club. Abby plans to attend Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma and major in Elementary Education.

Nathon is the son of Jose and Jehovana Segovia. He is the Captain of the Debate Team, Vice President of the National Honor Society and a member of Health Occupation Students of America, and the Academic UIL Math, Calculator Applications, Science and Social Studies Teams.

He received the DAR Good Citizen Award and Academic Blankets in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Nathon will attend Marine Corps Boot Camp immediately following graduation. He will then enter the PLC program and attend either Texas A&M University or the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and major in Nuclear Engineering.
