Tonight is National Night Out

The Mount Pleasant Police and Fire Departments invite you to participate in the 34th annual National Night Out (NNO). This citywide community event will be held on the evening of Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM in Dellwood Park. Police and Fire employees will be hosting the event providing activities and food. This year we are taking care of you, just like you have always taken care of us.

In addition, various community parties are still allowed involving hundreds of Mount Pleasant residents. Unfortunately, if you have a community party neither police or fire will be able to attend since we are hosting a party in Dellwood Park.

The purpose of National Night Out is to build strong partnerships betweenpolice-fire and our communities.

On Tuesday October 3rd between 6-8 PM, MP residents not attending the Dellwood party are encouraged to turn on their porch lights and gather with their neighbors to show unity against criminal activity. Register your neighborhood for this year's event. Registration is free and allows us to track who is having a block party.

If you plan on attending the Dellwood Park NNO event and would like to have a booth, please sign up so we can plan on your business attendance. Business participation helps the event with food and drink costs.

National Night Out is for everyone! Register now and begin planning your event or be part of our Dellwood Park Party. Visit MPPD National Night Out at www.mpcity.net/police/NNO to sign up for the Dellwood Park party or your neighborhood party.

If you have any questions call the Mount Pleasant
Police Department and speak to Sgt. Strickland at 903-575-2123.
