Internet service goes down

Thursday afternoon, a very high load 18 wheeler caught the Suddenlink cable with the top of the truck while driving down I-30.

The truck pulled the cable into a power line. Swepco was able to get their lines repaired quickly yesterday, but Suddenlink had more challenges.

They worked into the night for as long as they could, but were not able to keep Interstate 30 closed late last night for safety reasons.

They were back on the job this morning and unfortunately caused another Swepco outage for a brief time. As of 5 p.m. Friday Suddenlink was still out of service.
