Arrests and Charges Filed Related to Tammy Jordon Death
The Mount Pleasant Police Monday charged 28-year-old Courtney Lenard McGill of Mount Pleasant with Murder for the shooting death of Tammy Denise Jordon.
On August 20th at 12:24 a.m. McGill was having an argument with another person at a party in the 1300 Block of Booker Avenue when gunfire erupted.
The shooting victim, Tammy Jordon, was standing in the roadway a block away when she was struck by a stray bullet. Jordon died shortly after being shot.
Courtney McGill has been in custody since August 31st for other charges related to the shooting.
Three additional subjects have been charged with various felonies steaming from the disturbance and ultimate death of Tammy Jordon.
McGill and Terry Heath, 46, had both previously been jailed for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon related to their actions just prior to the shooting death of Jordon.
Two additional subjects were also arrested Monday for their actions related to the disturbance and shooting death of Jordon.
Rhett Davis, 24, was taken into custody for warrants issued for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Laterrius Shine, 32, was taken into custody for a warrant issued for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Both suspects were booked into the Titus County Jail.
