The Mount Pleasant Police Dept. Safety Seat Event Friday pulled 21 bad car seats from vehicles out of 57 checked. Many of the car seats had defects and some had been recalled. The staff gave out 29 free car seats properly fitting children to seats that could save their life.
The Police Dept. Thanks to Walmart for hosting this safety seat check and TXDOT for providing support. The MPPD provided six certified technicans and many support staff to make this a successful event.
Thanks to all the parents who came today to get your child's car seat checked for proper instillation, fitting and safety check.
