“Hot Topic Tuesday” is again scheduled for The Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant this coming Tuesday, August 22nd at noon at the Mt Pleasant Country Club. The presentation will be by Cole Hefner, State Representative, House District 5.
The meeting is open to the public, and lunch is provided at no cost.
Mr. Hefner is a first term representative, and with the Special Session of the State Legislature just completed, he will have an update on the latest happenings in Austin.
A native East Texan, Cole Hefner lives in Mount Pleasant. Prior to being elected in 2016 to the Texas House of Representatives, Cole served as county commissioner for Upshur County. He is a board member of the East Texas Council Regional Review Committee, a position he was appointed to by Governor Rick Perry. He is active in his community, where he is a member of the Lindale Chamber of Commerce, the Hide-A-Way Lake Kiwanis Club, and a Sunday school teacher at South Jefferson Baptist Church.
